When I take pictures, I focus on abandoned landscapes and buildings. I believe that things old and new need to be shown, but when things become abandoned, they become forgotten. I would often walk past these places without a second thought, but I am a curious person by nature so I felt I needed to explore them. The first time I stepped inside, I learned these buildings are full of stories waiting to be told. Once I saw how people left things behind as is and the overgrown paths lead to secret gardens, I learned they all have a beauty of their own. Through my photography, I try to capture things as they were left however many years ago. It’s my way of keeping memory alive and reminding people that even in their decay, these places still have something to say.
